The Whining of the Right Wing

I have listened to Rush, Mark Levine, and other right-wing airbags deride President Obama for months. After the capture (and assassination) of Osama bin Laden, the right wing struggled not to present the president as a hero. Quickly, they shifted the attack from Obama to his closest advisors. Nancy Pelosi, Timothy Geithner, and even First Lady Michelle Obama, who became targets for right-wing derision. As the right wing lost power within the country, they began to behave like whining 2 year-olds who could not get their way. Rush participated in name calling, referring to President Obama as a 'moron' in spite of his education at a prestigious university. Mark Levin continued the derision on his radio show by referring to President Obama as an 'idiot' while blaming every world crisis on Obama. Both Rush & Levin are staunch Republican supporters who idolize Ronald Reagan and 'all things Republican'.

I smile when I hear this type of rhetoric. While the right wing continues to cling to the good ole days with good old money, the world around them is changing. Rather than share the wealth with everyone, the right wing uses the media to tout what a failure that President Obama has been as he endured opposition at every turn but fail to see what a failure that democracy and capitalism has been in the brave, new world.
